The main activity of the school is to look at the lights. In the period of Emperor Ming of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Ming advocated Buddhism. He heard that Buddhism had the practice of monks viewing Buddha relics on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month and lighting lamps to worship Buddha, so he ordered this ceremonial festival to gradually become a grand folk festival. The festival has experienced a development process from the court to the people, from the Central Plains to the whole country. 

To this day, the custom of lighting lanterns on Lantern Festival is still spread all over China. All kinds of beautiful lanterns will be lit on this day. Children are very happy with their homemade lanterns walking around the streets. Guessing lantern riddles is also an important activity on the Lantern Festival. The owner of the lantern will write the puzzled face on the lantern and hang it at the door. If someone can guess it, they can get a small gift. This activity first originated in the Song Dynasty, because Riddles can inspire wisdom and interest, so they are welcomed by all walks of life in the process of spreading
